The seventh edition of Parle -The Hindu Metro Plus Pookkalam Contest 2013 powered by SBT (State Bank of Travancore) saw excited participation from 44 teams this year. Each team were allowed five members including a team captain and three women participants.
The pookalam had to be prepared with in two and a half hours, which included the time for drawing and flower arrangement. The contest was held from 9.30am till 12.30pm. on September 12th. Teams were allowed in the contest on a first come, first serve basis.
Criteria:
Pookalam could be circle or square but the diameter, length and breath should not exceed 5 ft.
Pookalams should have a minimum area of 19 sq ft and maximum of 25 sq ft.
Only natural flowers and leaves were allowed.
