Kerla Bamboo Fest 2014
The 11th edition of Kerala Bamboo fest was held at Marine drive, Kochi.
The exhibition was organized by The Department of Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Kerala in association with Kerala State Bamboo Mission to promote the bamboo industry and to familiarize the products among the public.
Bamboo product manufacturers from all over the country have participated in the exhibition.
A variety of products manufactured with bamboo, which ranges from simple earrings to exclusive bamboo bags were exhibited here.
Wall hangings, bamboo bags, bamboo stars, household items, toys, jewellery items, furniture, flowers etc. were the other attractions of the exhibition.
Besides the products, different types of bamboo plants were also there for sale.
Participation of artisans from North East states like Chattisgarh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Uttaranchal and West Bengal was the significant part of this years exhibition.
