Remove the crust from all sides of the bread and slice the bread lengthwise into 2 equal parts.
Mix all the dry ingredients together. Gram flour, rice flour, asafoetida, cumin seeds and salt.
Add enough water and mix again to make a slightly thin batter.
Now add chopped green chillies along with chopped cilantro and mix well.
Heat oil in a frying pan on medium heat and dip the bread slices in the batter one at a time and slowly drop into the frying pan.
Flip over occasionally. Fry the bread slices until both sides turn golden brown in colour.
