Moving to the preparation, heat 2-3 tbsp of ghee in a pan and add 2-3 tsp of Cumin seeds. When they splutter, add small amount of Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves and Black pepper, sauté this mixture for about 2 minutes. When the spices are done, a good aroma emits from the pan. Then add the pre-cooked Basmati rice and tsp of salt. Pour water into the pan and stir once. Bring the water and rice to a boil. Reduce heat to low simmer. Let it cook for about 8-10 mins till the water completely evaporates.
Your delicious Jeera Rice is ready to serve. Transfer the rice onto a plate. Garnish the dish with chopped Coriander leaves.
You can serve Jeera Rice along with a simple Chutney or with Curd and Pappads.
