Navy’s Annual Kochi area boat pulling regatta was held at Ernakulam channel. Whaler boats were used for the race. A crew of 5 manned the boat with a coxswain at the helm. The race in six different categories was conducted over a course of 1.6 km in the Ernakulam channel with Venduruthy-Vikrant Bridge being the starting point. The race began at 6.30 am saw nearly 30 teams testing their skills of endurance and stamina.
