Fish Harvest Dance, Cambodia IFFOK 2014
The fish harvest dance is a traditional dance performed by the Khmer community of Cambodia. The dance is inspired by the heavenly blessed earth and water and it is a perfect example of expressing sentiments to the earth and water by the Khmer people. There is a saying in Cambodia that says: where there is water, there is fish and also fishermen. This dance brings the fishermen's lives to the stage recreating their fishing methods, equipments, activities, and even a courting scene at the end.
