Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri is popularly known as Kaithapram . He is a well-known Poet, Lyricist, and Music director, Actor, Singer, Screenwriter, Director and a Carnatic Vocalist. He was born in the village of Kaithapram, near Payyanur in Kannur district of North Malabar region in India. His entry into Malayalam cinema as a lyricist started off with the song “Devadundubhi sandralayam” for the movie Ennennum Kannettante directed by Fazil .Since then he has written lyrics for more than 330 films.
