Sanjukta Barooah is a well know Sattriya Nritya dancer hails from Assam. She had started training in the form since 1999. A year after it was recognized as a major dance form of India. She was trained by Sangeet Natak Academy award winner Guru Indira P. P. Bora and also continued later training under Padmashri Jatin Goswami. Her Ranga Pravesha (Sattriya Dance Graduation Ceremony) was held on 27th March 2011 at India International Centre, New Delhi. This was the first Ranga Pravesha that the capital had witnessed.
