Rani Khanam is one of the famous exponents of Lucknow Gharana of Kathak. She has received so many awards and honours including 5th National Women Excellence Award-2012. She is keen on experimenting with traditional, contemporary as well as issue-based themes. Khanam is the founder director of AAMAD-Kathak Dance Centre in East Delhi.
