Meenakshi Srinivasan an exponent of the Pandanallur style of Bharatnatyam, is known for her sensuous performances combined with the geometic precision basic to the classical art.

As a dancer, choreographer, Meenakshi's ability is versatile with both the purity and sanctity of the traditional repertoire as well as her own individual skill and approach to contemporary themes using the language of Bharatanatyam. Her strength relies on her ability to co-relate the different disciplines of the art and she has worked with various artists – composers, musicians, scholars and writers on new choreographic works.

Internationally she has presented notable performances at prestigious venues in Europe, Singapore, Canada and Malaysia. In India, she is featured at many acclaimed festivals across the country.

Meenakshi is an empanelled artist with the Indian Council for Cultural Relation's reference panel of artistes. She has been awarded the Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for the year 2011 by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, the National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama, New Delhi. She has also been conferred the titles Natya Kala Vipanchee and the Natya Kala Dharshini.

Born on 11 June 1971, Meenakshi received her training in Bharatanatyam first under Venkatachalapathy of Kalakshetra, then later under Alarmel Valli. Meenakshi resides in Chennai,Tamil Nadu, and pursues her art with passionate precision and devotion that defines her approach to retain the purity of the great art. She is also an accomplished Architect and is a principal at Calm Studio.
