Jaundice is a medical condition, which turns the skin and sclera to yellow colour due to the excess of bilirubin, which is an orange-yellow pigment formed by the breakdown of haemoglobin, in the blood. It occurs in both babies and adults. As liver processes bilirubin, jaundice may damage liver and lead to liver failure.
