The World’s biggest “Warpu”or “Uruli” (cooking vessel) is 12 ft in diameter and weights 3184 kg, is made by craftsmen in Mannar, Kerala. The “Warpu” was commissioned by Johny L. Malayil & Sunny L. Malayil. It took 13 months for 30 craftsmen and 160 artisans to give it the final finishing. Crafted in 14 feet trench, the mould was fired continuously for 30 hours consuming 8 tonnes of firewood. The brilliantly made Gigantic “Warpu” found its place at Limca Book of Records. The Warpu is on display at Crafters, Jew Town, Cochin.
