Ganesh Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chaturthi is one of the most sacred and colorful Hindu festivals, which celebrates the birth of the elephant-headed god, Lord Ganesha. The festival generally lasts ten days and is celebrated by families at home. The public celebration involves installing clay images of Ganesha in public pandals and group worship.
