Madhumita Roy is well known Kathak dancer who was born into a musical family. She got her advanced training under the guidance of the famous Kathak maestro Pt. Birju Maharaj. She is a top grade artist of Doordarshan. She has performed inside and outside the country and with this experience she has established an institution called ‘Ghungroo’, which is widely accepted as a centre for Kathak.
