Kavitha Krishnamurthy, one of the most versatile and technically gifted female singers in the Indian film industry is married to L. Subramaniam, the violin maestro. For Kavitha, the marriage has had an effect on her music as well. A film playback singer basically, Kavitha has now entered the fusion arena. "I am enjoying the fact that though I am a film music singer, I am able to break barriers,” says Kavitha. The professional association between L. Subramaniam and Kavitha began on the "Global Fusion" album (which has been released internationally by Warner Brothers). The rest, as they say, is history.
