Legendary Actor Nedumuni Venu passes away (1948-2021)
Popular Malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu, who was admitted to a private hospital at Thiruvananthapuram, whose condition was serious, passed away, said doctors treating him. The 73-year-old actor, who has acted in more than 500 films, had earlier recovered from Covid-19 infection.
For the past few days Venu was admitted in the hospital and was in the intensive care unit, where he breathed his last on 11th October 2021, Monday afternoon.
Starting his career as a journalist, he has had no reason to look back after donning the grease paint for the first time in 1978, until then he was a popular theatre personality. Winner of three National Film awards and six state film awards, Venu was immensely popular not just among his fans but also his colleagues in the film industry due to his pleasing and jovial nature.
Some of his popular films were Thambu, Aaravam, Oridathoru Phayalvan , Kaattathe Kilikkoodu, Theertham, Sruthi, Ambada Njane, Oru Minnaminunginte Nurunguvettam (Kerala state award for Best Actor), Oru katha Oru Nunakkadha, Savidam, Angane Oru Avadhikkalathu, Pooram, Saira, His Highness Abdulla, Bharatham, Thenmavin Kombathu and so on..
