About Video: "A.C. Jose - The Chairman of Coir Board"

Mr. A.C. Jose, an advocate by profession, is a multifaceted personality. Having held posts such as the Mayor, Municipal Corporation (Cochin), Speaker, Kerala Legislative Assembly, Member, Committee on External Affairs (two terms), Member of Parliament, thrice – to mention a few, is the current Chairman of the Coir Board. The Ministry of Commerce has nominated him as member of the Board of Trade, which is the first time that a Chairman of a commodity Board was nominated to the highest policy-making body set up by the Commerce Ministry.
Mr. Jose is an orator in English and Malayalam. He was an eminent interpreter of speeches of all national leaders like Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi from English to Malayalam. He has a special interest in reading and writing. He is the publisher of Veekshnam — a daily, an official organ of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee.
He lives with his family in Ernakulam. His wife, Mrs. Leelamma Jose is a retired professor of Political Science. They have four children.
